Building the website

This website will serve to showcase my various projects and interests.
Various topics and categories will be explored:
For the foreseeable future, I will mainly be writing about programming in Python and various web-focused languages while I build out this website. The site is hosted by DigitalOcean* on an Ubuntu 16.04 x64 instance and powered by Django and Wagtail. It is served by the nginx web server. The source code can be found on GitHub here.
If you're reading this close to the date of publication, you can clearly see that my focus thus far has been on function rather than form. I have spent the majority of my time thus far laying the basic framework for the rest of the website. Behind the scenes, I have used LetsEncrypt to ensure a high level of security if you choose to exchange any information with the website. At the time of writing, this website receives an A+ rating from SSL Labs.
Now that the groundwork has been laid, I will be focusing on making the website a little prettier. I'll also begin building out the photography section of the website since I think this is the area that will largely dictate how things the rest of the pages will look, stylistically speaking.
